We have some exciting news – a website upgrade is coming.
Built in 2009 this site has performed remarkably well and handled half a million images or so. But now its time for an upgrade. Starting this weekend the backend server upgrade is happening and then over the next few months we will complete the site upgrade.

The 2016 Sandgate Sunset Run was put on to benefit local charity “Share the Dignity“ who provide sanitary items to women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Their aim is to provide homeless and at risk women nationally with sanitary products to allow them a sense of dignity at a time when they need it most.
No woman should suffer the indignity of choosing between eating and buying sanitary items.
The event is an awesome evening relay race run in 250 metre laps around the big roundabout in the centre of Sandgate, Brisbane.
Starting in the late afternoon with a kids dash followed by a 30 minute junior runners relay, a Social relay full of amazing costumes and then at dusk with the 2 hour open event. Each team of 4 runners can run as many laps as they like before passing the baton on. The top team ran a total of 165 laps to record a staggering 41.25km in the 2 hours.
The Dreamsport Photography team was there again to offer our services to the charity for free! All the low res unedited photos are available free on Facebook in the following folders. Feel free to tag and share.
We know that some people want to purchase their high res edited photos for a memory of the event. So we have made them all available to you for that as well. However we haven’t numbered them so you will just have to search though the galleries to locate the ones you want.

Once again TRAQ Race Director Andrew Rowlands put on an awesome trail run at Lake Manchester. There is always something special about being on the edge of the lake. We had beautiful clear weather after a cold misty start and rain the day before to dampen the track,

We aim to capture every person at least once and though we can’t guarantee an individual shot of yourself due to how many people are on course, you should be able to be find yourself in a shot somewhere. Its critical for your race number to be on your front and visible at all times (not covered by a jacket or on your hip or back etc.). In the unlikely event you cant locate any photos of yourself you can have a race shot of your choice. The free image will have a watermark across the bottom recognising the sponsors without whom this event wouldn’t be possible.

Geoffs Runs put the annual National 24 and 48 Hour event on again 12-14 August 2016.
This year numbers were a little lower than usual but the weather was perfect. We had a photographer on site capturing all the joy, pain and in between faces as runners circled the 500 metre track over and over and over again.
The event also included a 2 hour, 6 hour 3 hour and 1.5 hour event with run and walk options as well as relays. Something for everyone!
With no race numbers the photos are not numbered – but the best deals are for the all your own photos pack.
Odds are there are upwards of 20 images per person from all different angles and times. So you can buy one or two, or you can just email us at sales@dreamsportphotography.com and ask for all your photos.

The 2016 Koala Fun Run at Redlands is a part trail, part path run held at Redlands running through local bush trails and along the esplanade for the half marathon event. Bayside Runners and Walkers are the organisers and all the volunteers did a fantastic job for the third year running. There was a half marathon, 5km and 10km run options as well as some kids races and lots of family friendly activities. The whole thing is part of the larger Run for Redlands 48 hour Charity Festival raising funds for the Redlands Paediatric Hospital and Redland Bay State Emergency Service.
Dreamsport Photography were the official photographers - and are supplying one free digital image to every runner or walker.

The 2016 Mothers Day Classic Joyner fun run is a great trail run held on the shores of beautiful Lake Samsonvale. Trails with Attitude organisers Nicole and Jerrod and all the volunteers did a fantastic job for the third year year in a row. As usual lots of people were wearing pink to support breast cancer research, and all those who have suffered from the disease. There was a 4km walk or run and an 8km run option.
Dreamsport Photography were the official photographers - and are supplying one free digital image to every runner or walker with thanks to the other sponsors Rotary, Travel Trucks, IGA Cashmere, Genesis Christian College and Attitude Coach.

The iconic Lakeside Raceway is a fantastic race circuit with a mix of hills and slow and fast corners. The carousel at the end of the main straight is one which regularly traps drivers who get into it too hard under brakes.
The iRace calendar for 2016 took the drivers and teams to this track on 2nd and 3rd April 2016. The Dreamsport Photography Team was there on the Saturday 2nd April for iRace Lakeside April 2016 and took photos of most of the cars and racers as well as plenty of other shots.

Queensland Motorway is also known as the paper clip for its distinctive layout – a little like a paper clip. The track is bumpy and fast and makes for great racing.
The iRace calendar for 2015 took the drivers and teams to this track on 20 June 2015. Dreamsport Photography was there and took photos of most of the cars and racers as well as plenty of other shots. The gird girls, some show cars and even some patrons motorbikes got into the action.

Geoff’s Runs events are some of the best events around with lots of great camaraderie and atmosphere – and the 2016 Dusk to Dawn at the Caboolture Historical Village was special for lots of reasons.
Sadly we lost Betty Williams late last year and it was our privilege to present a special memorial trophy funded by lots of Geoff and Betty’s fans and supporters to Peter Bennett for his many years of assistance to both Geoff and Betty in helping with the Geoff’s Runs events.
This year a rain shower in the morning damped the track just nicely and created a great running surface. A interesting cloudy sunset provided some great photos at dusk as usual.
The event includes short events like the kids 10km, half and full marathons as well as ultra events including 50 and 100km, 6 hour and 12 hour events. There are also a variety of relays for the 6 and 12 hour events and these are always hotly contested.
As usual we shot through most of the night and there are a lot of photos online.
Dreamsport Photography has been the official photographers for a number of years for all the Geoffs Runs events now. We had 2 photographers at various points on the track covering the huge number of entrants and providing a wide range of different shots with opportunities for people to get lots of photos of themselves. We also shot with strobe lights (as you would know) during the night so we should have covered virtually everyone. Of course there are always the few ninjas out there who sneak by our cameras. Still high res high quality photos as always!

Note: sample photos are unedited, low quality and size and have a large watermark. Purchased edited images are adjusted for exposure and colour and provided as full size digital images with a small discreet watermark in the corner. Some sample photos are also too dark or too light. this will be corrected in the edited image.

After all we enter events and want our photos too, so we know what its like as a competitor. Great pricing for families and friends to pool together; the more you buy the cheaper it gets.

The 2015 Sandgate Sunset Run was put on to benefit local cancer charity Be Uplifted. The event is an awesome evening relay race run in 250 metre laps around the big roundabout in the centre of Sandgate, Brisbane.
Starting in the late afternoon with a kids dash followed by a 30 minute junior runners relay, and then at dusk with a 2 hour open event. Each team of 4 runners can run as many laps as they like before passing the baton on. The top team ran a total of 160 laps to record a staggering 40km in the 2 hours. Overall there was more than 2600km run!
Dreamsport Photography came on board with the team to offer our services to the charity for free! All the low res unedited photos are available free on Facebook in the following folders. Feel free to tag and share.

- We individually edit every photo we sell or provide free.
